A Simple Problem: Not Enough Drawer Space
At ORGAdrawer, we know that keeping a kitchen organized isn’t always easy—especially when drawer space is limited.
Through working with customers, we realized a common frustration: there simply weren’t enough drawers for all the essentials. Some of the biggest storage challenges included:
✅ Spices – Spice racks on cabinet doors made spices easier to see but didn’t increase storage since they took up interior cabinet space.
✅ Plastic & foil wraps – Often stored in deep drawers, these items would get lost or cluttered together.
✅ Cooking utensils – Long-handled spatulas, whisks, and wooden spoons took up valuable counter space in jars next to the stove.
✅ K-Cup storage – Bulky carousel holders consumed prime countertop space.
✅ The dreaded “junk drawer” – Every home has one—a chaotic space filled with miscellaneous items that had nowhere else to go.
We realized something important: People don’t keep things organized unless the space is specifically designed for the items being stored.
The Breakthrough: A Suspended Drawer Concept
We started brainstorming how to create new drawer space without adding new cabinets. That’s when we had an epiphany.
💡 Looking at how a pencil drawer is suspended from a desktop, we asked: Why not use this same concept inside a kitchen cabinet?
This led us to develop a suspended drawer inside a base cabinet—a smart way to maximize the unused space at the top of the base cabinet behind the cabinet door. This way you can open the door and slide out a "New" drawer, an ORGAdrawer.

Once we had the core idea, we realized it had so much potential beyond just one solution.
